Writing blog posts is an entirely new journey for me and I'm doing the best I can to post on a regular basis, but the hardest part is writing when I have the down time to do so. I now understand what all the hype is about "writer's block" because when I have the time to sit down and type, i can't form the words I want to, but when I am busy and out and about, topics come to mind inconsistently. I do my best work when I am inspired by what I'm doing. Inspiration, for me, does not sprout out of a nine-to-five schedule. My best decisions aren't made when working under pressure. I have always thrived in my roles that were off the "normal" business schedule. Even in high school, I opted for the extra early 0-period class and evening regional occupational program courses in lieu of the typical 1st-6th period courses and avoided traffic hours. Maybe its the introvert personality in me, but going against the majority and their day to day routine has kept me sane. All this said, I guess its a good thing for my writing that I have spiraled out of any form of normal routine recently. Anyways, end rant.
I wanted to post a quick update as to where I am at in the process of moving literally across the world... I have made it to the 1.5 week countdown! I have movers scheduled, storage unit booked, travel insurance received, my Australian visa has been approved, and a phone plan in place. My current focuses are on packing everything up, buying the last minute travel necessity items, finishing up a few more medical appointments, and most importantly saying my goodbyes to friends and family. So far $50 has been raised at https://www.gofundme.com/sipadventurerepeat and to those wondering, I have completed all 20 pushups as promised every time $25 is raised (still welcoming donations). Now I am left with 11 days and a much shorter, but still hefty to-do list...wish me luck!
